I love reading books based in my part of the woods! I might not have attended A&M but I loved the behind the scenes look at the campus and feeling like I had visited vicariously walking Teddy among the buildings.

I enjoyed the heavy dose of paranoia throughout Coded for Murder and this book had me looking around suspiciously for days after finishing it. I loved the small town vibe that was masterfully done adding suspicion to almost everyone in town. There were so many characters seeming to come in at the perfect time that I didn't know who to trust and who to run from!

As much as I loved the paranoia, I selfishly craved more. I would have loved if the murder had started this book off with a bang and been so dramatized that I was terrified and not just scared of these people out for blood knowing full well what they were capable of.

Whether I purchase, borrow, or receive a book in exchange for a review, my goal is to be honest, fair, and constructive regardless.

Dianne Smithwick-Braden is a native Texan raised on the family farm near Vernon, Texas. She seasons her mysteries with a little romance, a dash of adventure, and a touch of humor. She currently resides in Amarillo, Texas with her husband, Richard.
